Welcome to the Northern New Mexico Regional Arts Center
The Plaza de Espanola
The Heart of Northern New Mexico--A Place Where Cultures Unite!

The city of Española is located a few miles south of the first European settlement founded in New Mexico by Don Juan Oñate. The settlement, San Gabriel de Yunque-Ouinge (at the San Juan Pueblo) was the first European capital of New Mexico and seat of the first European governor of New Mexico.
The Northern New Mexico Regional Art Center (NNMRAC) is located on the Plaza de Española where it manages cultural events for the City and operates a gallery, gift shop and visitor's center. NNMRAC also manages the Española Community Arts Education Center where it conducts music and art classes for the community. NNMRAC organizes and sponsors art exhibitions at the Convento Gallery and the Historic Bond House Museum.

A Call for Help!
NNMRAC Board of Trustees is reaching out to the community in search of individuals who would like to serve on the board. Elections are held in May and the results are announced at the annual board meeting in June. Please forward names of individuals you think would serve well on the board. You may also nominate yourself. Contact either Gabriela Silva, NNMRAC President at gabrielasgardenart.gs@gmail.com or call her at 505-692-3086. You may also contact the Executive Director Mr. Werenko by emailing director@nnmrac.org or calling 505-500-7126. This year all current board members are up for election and we need one more individual to fill out the required nine members as per the bylaws. All current board members are completing a two year term in office.
Please Call John D. Werenko at 505-500-7126 or email director@nnmrac.org
If you wish to volunteer be on the NNMRAC Board.
